#5 ALCATRAZ STOUT ALE - SAN FRANCISCO BREWING CO.

From the looks of it everything is alive and well with both brew and brewery. Jay from Hedonist Beer Jive probably could shed more light on this seeing as he lives nearby.

See the brewery profile and reviews at Beer Advocate.

I’ve never seen this beer in bottles, and don’t think I’ve been to the brewery in about 6 years. It’s funny, it’s not one anyone ever talks about around here – it’s really the domain of tourists cruising around North Beach and Chinatown. I know I’ve never really dug their beers, but who knows what’s happened the past six years?
